In September 2009 Derby College was proud to open its doors to the Award Winning
Roundhouse. This stunning flagship site in the heart of the city provides leading edge
vocational learning facilities which are second to none. Students can benefit from the
very latest technology in a stimulating and dynamic environment.
The Roundhouse offers 18,000 square meters of learning and teaching space, and was
part of a £48 million regeneration scheme.
It has been superbly equipped for courses which include: Art and Design, Hair and Beauty,
Building Services, Gas, Electric and Plumbing, Catering and Hospitality, Engineering and
Welding.This has been the most ambitious project in Derby College's history.
The pioneering transformation of the once derelict grade II* building and developed
impressive new buildings which perfectly complement the character of the original premises.
